Dear telecentre colleagues and partners,

Telecentre-Europe is holding the first ever European Get Online Day today - 4 March 2010, and what a day it is turning out to be! So far more than fifty-thousand people have been reached by the campiagn, and the number is rising by the second. As of 14:00 CET the counter on the homepage of the Telecentre-Europe site is rising at the rate of about 3,600 an hour ... that's one person every second!!!!  These people are all taking part in a massive campaign across the whole of Europe showing the power of being joined up! Telecentres across Europe are helping people to learn about the internet, many for the first time today.
