Vacancy: WOUGNET Fundraising Manager (Deadline to apply: 29 January 2010)

Women of Uganda Network (WOUGNET) is a 
non-governmental organization initiated in May 
2000 by several women’s organisations in Uganda 
to develop the use of information and 
communication technologies (ICTs) among women as 
tools to share information and address issues 
collectively. WOUGNET’s vision is a society in 
which women are empowered through the use of ICTs 
for sustainable development. Our mission is to 
promote and support the use of ICTs by women and 
women organisations in Uganda, so that they can 
take advantage of the opportunities presented by 
ICTs in order to effectively address national and 
local problems of Sustainable National Development.

The WOUGNET Fundraising Manager is a dynamic, 
self-motivated, innovative, organised and 
outgoing person to match a demanding and 
challenging role that requires excellent 
relationship management and communication skills, 
strong planning and organisational skills, the 
ability to self start as well as a tenacious 
attitude. The Fundraising Manager is passionate 
about improving the lives of women in Uganda. The 
Fundraising Manager position is a new and 
exciting role that will be responsible for 
raising financial resources for WOUGNET from 
development partners and corporate partners as 
well as managing and developing key relationships 
with a range of development and corporate 
supporters.  The role involves managing a 
portfolio of new and existing partnerships 
successfully in order to achieve set budgetary 
targets necessary to enable WOUGNET accomplish
