[UgaBYTES] NRM registration goes hi-tech

I find this rather strange - the NRM is free to use whatever system it likes
to register its members, but how can that have anything to do with the voter
registration system, which is completely independent and nothing to do with
party affiliation?
Or is it a way of suggesting that once you are signed up as a member of NRM
you can't change your mind and vote for someone else...
Explanations, please, from those who understand better?
