[UgaBYTES] Broadband Forum announces global broadband statistics for second quarter of 2009

The Broadband Forum yesterday announced the latest broadband statistics in a
press conference at Broadband World Forum-Europe. Based on data provided for
the Forum by industry analysts Point Topic (http://point-topic.com/home/gbs/),
global broadband grew by 12.9 million lines in the second quarter of 2009 to
reach 445 million. In terms of technology, fiber and wireless broadband
continue to gain access technology market share.
