Thanks a lot Meddie for this good news.
Let's hope that the situation of East African fiber optic cable will bring
better results compared to the West Africa situation with the SAT-3/WASC.
Endeed, the SAT-3/WASC didn't really bring internet suscription prices
down. This was due to many factors :
First those big companies owning those infrastructures want to make
profitable their investment rather quickly ( their are not non for profit
entities)
Second, if the demand is not enough big to use their full capacity, their
price will remain high.
However, we can hope that the competition between more than two companies
will bring them to improve quality and make low prices.
