The *Center for Asia Pacific Women in Politics (CAPWIP)<http://www.capwip.org/>

non-governmental regional organization dedicated to promoting equal
participation of women in politics, governance and decision-making.  CAPWIP
is happy to announce the 9th “Making Governance Gender Responsive” (MGGR)
training course, which will be held at the *Asian Institute of* *Management
Conference Center (ACCM)* <http://www.accm.aim.edu.ph/>in the Philippines on
23-30 July 2009. We have decided that this will only be the MGGR training in
2009 and hope you will consider joining it.



*Making Governance Gender Responsive
(MGGR)<http://www.capwip.org/training/mggr.htm>
* is a generic course that can be adapted and modified to suit the needs of
the different countries.  Specifically, the participants are expected to:



   - Enhance their understanding of Gender and Development (GAD), and
   governance
   concepts.
   - Gain appreciation of gender-related and governance issues, and
   concerns.
   - Identify gender biases in governance.
   - Acquire skills in identifying and analyzing gender biases and concerns
   through case examples of strategies and practices to address gender biases.
   - Identify gender biases in the participant’s sphere of influence - A
   Change Management Approach.
   - Formulate Action Plans: Institutional and Individual.
