Dear Martine,
It is sad to hear  this bad New  from Fadeco Radio. Did you try to find out the cause  of the problem  was it about power surge or lightening?
 Because   if you did not get the cause right  you may  experience the same problem in future.
 
Is you transmitter repairable or it is beyond repair? and if it is repairable   In Kampala  we have a  company called Utratec  it  is located in Kabalagala   and I believe they can fix it back.here is their contacts +256-772200007 or +256-772545756
