Call for papers/articles/case studies/anecdotes/research papers

Dear all,
Greetings from telecentre magazine!

Telecentre magazine (www.telecentremagazine.net) is a quarterly magazine published by Centre for Science, Development and Media Studies (www.csdms.in), Noida, India, in collaboration with telecentre.org. It provides in-depth review and analysis of the role of public access to technology, focusing on research findings, innovations, and current thinking and debates.

The next edition of the telecentre magazine focuses on the theme 'inclusion and telecentres' with special thrust on 'financial inclusion'. The issue would seek to explore ways in which telecentres could contribute to the inclusion agenda, especially financial inclusion and contribute to the ongoing efforts at making telecentres, tools of socio-economic development. This issue will also seek to examine how telecentres can and are facilitating the process of including the excluded. The issue will highlight the various ICT4D initiatives, especially telecentres, across the world furthering the inclusion agenda, particularly financial inclusion in order to demonstrate how an inclusionary approach could become a part of the national agenda of development further leading to democratisation where telecentres would play a significant role.

Telecentre magazine invites articles/case studies/anecdotes/research papers from across the world on inclusion and telecentres, with special emphasis on financial inclusion and telecentres. Ideally, the articles/case studies/anecdotes/research papers should be between 1500 to 2000 words accompanied by 2-3 high resolution images (300 dpi, JPEG format), author's profile, author's image, photo caption, and photo credit. The last date for submission is 17th of Februrary 2009. Kindly e-mail the articles to sabyasachi at telecentremagazine.net. Besides, you may also send in your other suggestions and inputs on the possible ways to make this issue informative, representative, holistic and above all, 'inclusive'.

Thanks and regards,
