Dear all,
Just wnated to send you a link on my publications on ICT and internet in
Zambia. You may find the publication useful. The report was published in
conjuction with IICD and Ebrain Forum of Zambia.
The study, which was commissioned by IICD and conducted by Dean L. Mulozi of
the Zambia Association for Advancement of Information and Communication
Technology (ZAA-ICT), examines a whole range of issues linked to connectivity in
rural and remote areas with a specific focus on Zambia.
Its main goal is to enable organisations engaged in rural development in Zambia
to make informed decisions on issues relating to rural connectivity and
obtaining access to the Internet. It also aims to demystify the technical issues
associated with connectivity and Internet access which often confuse
lay-persons. The report provides a general inventory of connectivity options and
costs in Zambia and, as the lack of reliable sources of energy in rural areas
often hampers connectivity in these areas, an additional section outlines the
benefits and potential of alternative sources of energy such as solar power,
wind, hydropower and bio-mass.
Find the report in the www.iicd.org in the following link:

Thanks
