Dear members,

The support centre has got alot of questions and answers since the revamping
was done. These are organised based on categories. This summary focuses on
Marketing and Fund-raising category but you can find more on this and other

>> What is the importance of service/product advertisement in telecentre
revenue generation efforts?
Advertisement has become an effective tool to promote e-commerce business
and to reach target audience. Once advertisements are able to draw potential
customers' attention, it could mean more business.

>> How may a telecentre promote its marketing plan and services?
The main marketing approach will include direct mail to home businesses,
non-profit organizations and area businesses. The second method of marketing
will be Internet banner advertising on area service providers, which will be
linked to the Telecentre home page. All of these forms of marketing will
focus on generating interest.

Advertising on local broadcast television and radio networks will also be
used. Three particular distribution methods should be used:

i. School bookstore point-of-sale inserts into bags;

ii. accompanying registration packets;
