Dear all,
The topic on the roles and responsiblitites of telecenter committees is very interesting. It provides us with what kind of sructures can community teleceters have at local level. As some you have put it, it really depends on the existing environment at local level and nature of a telecenter. If it is a private telecenter, it is actullay the owners who can provide whether there is a need to have a telecenter committee and define its roles.
However, if a telecenter is onwed by the community, it is important to define the roles of telecenter committees visa vis is size, nature of its services and type of the communitites it serves.
I must say that it is important to have committees for telecenters as they provide a good representation, promotes interaction and local governance. An empahsis should be on articulation of the roles and responsibilities.
thanks
