Dear Felician
As was pointed out on this list a week or two ago, it's better not to send
huge attachments with photos, etc, because many people don't have such good
connectivity to be able to download them or will have to pay more in an
Internet cafe or whatever. The most practical way to disseminate images or big
documents is to put them on your website and inform the list of the website
address so that those who can will access it, or use the telecentre.org site,
or flickr, or something (I am not very technical, other colleagues can give
better ideas?). Or just send us a message saying what you have available to
send and individuals can write to you and receive the material offlist.
Anyway, I liked reading your reports of the wireless workshop, which seems to
have been very practical. And wish you all at Sengerema the best of luck in
connecting up your area. But I would also be interested to know how much each
client has to pay for the service, and what bandwidth they will be getting?
