Hey, Quinn

I would like to know more about projects in Africa and Middle east.

Is there a detailed description with local partners info?

Yes Satish, I am a High-Level Advisor to GAID and have been involved with
several of their activities. Currently the Digital Alliance is exploring an
agressive expansion with pilot projects lining up in Africa (Ethiopia,
Senegal, Ghana, and Mozambique), the Middle East (Jordan), Asia (Uzbekistah,
Nepal and India) and Latin America (Mexico and Uruguay).

Our basic aim is to leverage existing resources and provide culturally
relevant vocational skills to enhance local economies.
This can take many forms. In Jordan we are looking at supplementing ICT
training for young women in traditional schools. In Africa we are looking
at digital literacy training for aid agencies and select governmental
agencies. In India we just brokered a deal for a computer lab at a school
for the children of the leprosy-affected.

I am always looking for a good project...

Best,
Quinn
