Dr Benjamin Aggrey Ntim, Minister for Communications on Thursday urged
researchers and communication experts to adopt strategies that would help
close the digital, education and poverty gap between the North and South. He
said if efforts by various state agencies, donor partners and Government

(ICTs) to bridge the widening and pervasive poverty could not remain a

France looks again at 4th 3G licence <

French regulator Arcep has launched a new public consultation on issuing a
fourth 3G licence in the 2.1 GHz band. The government last year rejected an
offer from ISP Free for the licence, saying its bid was too low. The
government has now asked Arcep to look at alternatives, and the regulator
presented three options in the consultation
