Hi All,

Below are my contributions:

#1. The EATLF is a formidable force in building relationships and
addressing challenges? Why

The EATFL is a very important instrument in bringing together ideas and
contributions from Telecentres Practitioners. The ideas and lessons learnt
could be shared for the benefit of all Telecentres in the region. Also it
has a role of organizing different events which can bring together all
stakeholders to deliberate on some important issues. In addition to that
the stakeholders could be from different parts of the world with
experiences on Telecentre Networks.

#2. The telecentre academy is a timely issue for implementation in
African? Why

Given the current situation where no such kind of academy exits, it will
be a good opportunity for Telecentres to have such academy where
practionners will have opportunity to learn on different approaches/models
for successful Telecentres.

#3. Addressing the EATLF sustainability is important? Why Without
sustainability, the project would have no continuing effect.

Most of projects/ Telecentres in many countries failed because they lacked
sustainability strategies. Some of the strategies include: involvement of
the local community right from the beginning whenever there is intention
of establishing such facility; involvement of local government in the
area; involvement of potential users; human resource as one of the
components of sustainability; creation of Telecentre Networks which can
lobby for the government support; improper business plan among others.
Therefore there must be a good mechanisms for addressing sustainability
issues if at all any project is to be successful.

#4. An online community service is a perfect solution for strengthening
our telecentre working relations in the region? How In this era of
technology, online community service is the most effective and efficient
means of communication. Examples are the mail list, interactive website,
etc

This is an easy way and quicker in disseminating and sharing valuable
information among Telecentre Practitioners and the community in general.
Through the email, many solutions for different problems/challenges
encountered by other colleagues can be solved easily and timely.

Regards
