Hello all !
This message to tell you that I have met the Advicer to the Director
General of the Ministry of Interior of Burundi, yesterday 30th June 2008.
We could talk only about two minutes and he was busy reading some other
documents. What he said me is that he suspects our network wanting to hide
under a non profit label in order to operate as a business entity.
I told him that his view is due to the fact that “Telecentre” are so rare
in Burundi nowadays. I added that as a network, our organization is
designed to support telecentres in order to allow them to be more
efficient.
I also added the fact that our network belongs to regional and
international networks.
Finally, he told me to prepare little notice in order to explain more
about the network and bring him some documents about those international
structures with which we are in touch.
Now, I have collected some documents related to Ugabytes Initiatives (
telecentre times, TELECENTRE.ORG ( I have a pamphlet), and l’HEURE DES
TELECENTRES,
