Hello folks,

Why am i profiling UCRC? To win? Maybe, however i think it's more than just
that. Visit the telecentre.org website, Ugabytes or KenTel websites among
others, there is not much about individual telecentres, yet there exist
thousands of telecentres out there. Profiling the telecentres we know or are
affiliated to will give the rest of the world a rich feel of what we are
doing on the ground not what we are talking about. Ever heard of briefcase
NGOs? Maybe there are these kind of telecentres too, this is an opportunity
for all of us to share with each other what we do back at home as opposed to
what we showcase when at the conferences. This is only a challenge not
critic though - ha. Seeing as many profiles as possible will enable all of
us learn and share meaningfully with and from each other.

Some of the benefits of sharing include:
1. of cause you get to win a price if your profile wins
2. Should an opportunity arise that the telecentre practitioners can benefit
from, your telecentre stands a chance because its known.
3. A fabulous opportunity to market your telecentre, let the world know what
you do, your challenges and achievements.
4. When we reflect back we can tell from the profiles how far we have come
and where we are going.

These are just a few, members of the list can give an input as they submit
there profiles.

Hope to read your energizing efforts.

Thank you all.
