Dear All,
Oh, I agree, this is so sad! We have lost a true "shero", a very courageous
woman who showed other women (as well as seniors, and rural people and
communities in general) that they too could learn about and use ICTs.
Especially in a rural setting, this was a huge accomplishment, and that is
the legacy Anastasia will leave for generations to come.
I have a picture of her at my computer, beaming brightly as she tapped the
keys of a computer at Nakaseke several years ago. Meddie is right:
Anastasia was a leader, and a role model for the rest of us. The spirit that
motivated that leadership is alive and well and growing all the time,
something that will prove a great inspiration and comfort even as we miss
and mourn the loss of one who embodied it.
With greatest blessings on her soul, and deepest sympathies to all of her
family and friends! Janet (Feldman, kaippg at earthlink.net)
