  Gedaref digital city organization (GDCO) received the i4d eindia 2008
awards *'Best innovations at the grassroots Telecengtre'* in
*Telecentre*category – eINDIA2008 Awards..
GDCO presented three papers in Telecentre forum 1) role of Telecentres for
development 2) Sudan national Telecentre network 3) Sudan national
Telecentre academy also the president of indera gandi open university (IGNU)
and dr. shaddy (Telecentre.org) and Excellency elbasheir salhal minister of
education (Gedaref state – sudan) launched the sudan national Telecentre
academy website and sudan telecntre network.  I mentioned when I receive the
award that this award is GDCO   partners award including digital city of
Eindhoven (DSE), TC-MENA, UGABYTES and its partners, TELECENTRE.ORG, IDRC,

Gedaref digital city organization (GDCO) is NGOs established early 2005. It
is a big telecentre in Sudan. It is a non political organization but it has
a partnership with the government, other national & international
organizations, donors and supporters based on the benefit of the community.
It is the first digital city in Sudan . It is the winner of information for
development award (i4d 2007 awards) in e-India august 2007 at new Delhi. It
has strong partnership with the great people of Eindhoven through the
digital city of Eindhoven (DSE).
